The Norwell Mariner recently posted an article about the 2017 Norwell Summer Fest.

The event is a collaborative effort, with participation from the town, the school department and the fire and police departments and is funded entirely by donations from residents, businesses and local organizations.

The festival costs $60,000 to stage, and the organizers’ main focuses right now are fundraising and recruiting volunteers. So far, they have raised only $7,000.
